Company Overview
Windlab is a global wind energy development company established in 2003. Our success in identifying, securing and developing sites is underpinned by the expertise of our people and our world-leading wind mapping technology. Our track record in progressing commercially viable sites is reflected in a growing portfolio of projects spanning USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Company History
Key recent milestones in Windlab’s history include the Collgar (206MW) and Oaklands Hill (67MW) projects. Windlab staff successfully completed much of the feasibility development work on these projects and both are now under construction. AGL Energy, one of Australia’s largest electric utilities is the owner and operator of the Oaklands Hill Wind Farm. Collgar Wind Farm Pty Ltd. is owned by UBS International Infrastructure Fund and Retail Employees Superannuation Trust.
Windlab Developments USA, based in Ann Arbor, was formed in 2009 and has a portfolio of developments across six States. Windlab’s other major subsidiaries are:
• Windlab Developments Canada (based in Calgary);
• Windlab Developments South Africa (based in Cape Town); and
• Windlab Developments Australia (based in Canberra and Melbourne).
