IBERDROLA RENEWABLES (www.iberdrolarenewables.us) is the world leader in wind power, with more than 7,700 MW of wind power in operation in 19 countries and a worldwide pipeline of 43,000 MW in development. In the US, the company has more than 2,000 megawatts (MW) of wind energy in operation and a pipeline of more than 21,000 MW.
Listed in Ibex-35, the Spanish Stock Market index, the company aims to implement 2,000 MW of new wind generation on a yearly basis between 2008 and 2010, investing €8.6 billion globally with the objective of reaching a total operating renewable energy capacity of 13,600 MW by the end of 2010. Half of that investment is expected to occur in North America.
In addition, the company is a market leader in gas storage with more than 58 BCF of owned gas storage. The company provides optimized energy solutions tailored to meet the needs of wholesale and large commercial and industrial customers. We plan to maintain and grow our position by bringing new products to market and by aggressively growing our existing portfolio of owned and/or operated assets.
