The Senior Manager (SM) for Water Resources is responsible for managing staff, client relationships, and complex projects for water and wastewater infrastructure clients. Seeking a pro with experience in management of detailed CEQA documentation, compliance and resource permitting for water sector projects, particularly for water resource agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ideal candidates will have extensive water sector client relationships, and bring about 14 years of experience, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to manage contracts, clients and other team members. 

This position is part of the firm’s leadership team, providing business direction to grow the water resources practice internally and externally. This Sr Manager - Water Resources will join a highly functional and adaptive team of professionals in a successful woman owned firm. This team of environmental planners and scientists has a 30-year track record assisting agency staff and enterprises in defining baseline conditions, conducting environmental reviews under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), obtaining permits, and conducting permit and regulatory compliance for projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, water resources, wildfire risk management, and local development across the western US. Requirements

• BS Degree in Environmental Planning, Biology, Hydrology, Geology, Natural Resources, or other related discipline.
• 14 years of related work experience: or an M.S. degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Deep understanding of CEQA, NEPA, and environmental regulatory processes and technical topics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating tech savvy in details and data mgt.
• Experience delivering presentations and facilitating client and stakeholder meetings.
• Management experience, mentoring and training Environmental Analysts and Environmental Planners.
• Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated work ethic and dedication to meeting commitments.
